Instituto Trajetórias e Vanderbilt University

Instituto Trajetórias and the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering have signed a partnership to expand access for Brazilian talent to master’s degree programs.

Vanderbilt University is in the United States and is internationally recognized for its transformative research and academic programs designed to solve scientific and societal grand challenges. The university is ranked among the top 17 in the nation.

The School of Engineering prepares students to become leaders and innovators in industry, government, and academia – dedicating their skills to solve complex and challenging problems and make deep and lasting societal impact.

The university welcomes students to apply to our Master’s of Science and Master’s of Engineering programs to boost their expertise in research or engineering industry.

Eligible Programs

The agreement between Instituto Trajetórias and Vanderbilt University provides a USD 25,000 tuition fee discount for each student admitted to a master’s program at the Vanderbilt School of Engineering.

All programs are taught in English and offered on a full-time, in-person basis.

To be eligible for the tuition discount, students must first be admitted through Vanderbilt University’s regular admissions process and subsequently pass Instituto Trajetórias’ selection processes for scholarships and/or subsidized student loans, potentially in partnership with government programs.

Additional Benefits

In addition to the tuition discount, Instituto Trajetórias is negotiating the launch of scholarship programs offered in partnership with subnational governments, as well as student loan options with more favorable terms than those typically available in the market, provided through a partner.

Through a flexible combination of financial support mechanisms, Instituto Trajetórias enables each student to build a financing solution that best fits their individual profile.

For public sector employees, paid leave may be available, subject to specific agreements established with partner governments.

Application Process

To apply for scholarships or financial support, Brazilian students must first follow Vanderbilt University’s standard application procedures and meet all admission requirements established by the university.

Information about available programs and the application process can be found at this link.

Once the calls for applications for scholarships and financing facilitated by Instituto Trajetórias are published, candidates must submit an application to the Institute in accordance with the procedures outlined in the respective calls.

Students who have secured admission to a master’s program at the Vanderbilt School of Engineering and are selected by Instituto Trajetórias and its national partners will be eligible for scholarships or financing.

The calls for applications are expected to be published starting in February.

Funds are disbursed directly to students, who must provide proof of appropriate use in accordance with the rules to be detailed in each call.
