Learn about the partnership between Instituto Trajetórias and the University of Sussex

Instituto Trajetórias has signed a new strategic partnership with the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. This is the 20th agreement established by the institute in just nine months to provide tuition discounts for Brazilian students pursuing a master's degree abroad.

Located in Brighton, on the south coast of England, the University of Sussex is ranked No. 1 in the world for Development Studies, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject.

In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026, Sussex is also ranked 61st in Psychology and 76th in Social Sciences.

How the Partnership Works

Under the agreement between Instituto Trajetórias and the University of Sussex, eligible Brazilian students admitted to master's degree programs will receive a 20% discount on tuition fees.

All master's programs are taught in English and delivered on campus.

The discount is available to students selected through scholarship calls launched by Instituto Trajetórias' public-sector partners (including Enap, Brazilian states, and municipalities), as well as those accepted into the Global Talent Credit Program (Programa Crédito Talentos Globais), operated by Pravaler.

Additional Benefits

In addition to the tuition discount, Instituto Trajetórias supports scholarship opportunities offered in partnership with subnational governments and provides access to student financing under more favorable conditions than those typically available on the market through a partner financial institution.

By combining different forms of financial support, the institute enables each student to build a funding solution tailored to their individual needs.

For public servants, support generally includes paid educational leave, subject to the specific agreements established with participating government institutions.

Application Process

To qualify for the tuition discount, Brazilian applicants must first complete the University of Sussex's standard application process and meet all admission requirements established by the university.

After Instituto Trajetórias and its partners publish the scholarship and financing calls, eligible candidates must submit an individual application.

Applicants who receive an offer of admission to a master's program at the University of Sussex and are subsequently selected by Instituto Trajetórias and its Brazilian partners will be eligible for the tuition discount, scholarships, and/or student financing.

Financial support is transferred directly to the students, who must provide proof that the funds are used in accordance with the rules established in the respective call for applications.
