Instituto Trajetórias and Lund University: understanding the partnership

Instituto Trajetórias and Lund University have established a strategic partnership to expand access to master's degree programs for Brazilian talent.

Founded in 1666, Lund University is one of Sweden’s most prestigious institutions. Today, it offers more than 130 master's programs taught in English across a wide range of disciplines. Each year, the university receives applications from students and researchers representing approximately 170 countries.

Lund University is ranked among the world's top 100 universities in both the QS World University Rankings and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

How the partnership works

Under the agreement between Instituto Trajetórias and Lund University, eligible students will receive a 10% tuition fee discount for up to two years, as well as complimentary accommodation and health insurance coverage.

These benefits will be available to students selected through scholarship calls launched by Instituto Trajetórias’ public-sector partners (including ENAP, state governments, and municipalities), as well as those supported through the Global Talent Credit Program, operated by Pravaler.

Additional benefits

In addition to the master's tuition discount, Instituto Trajetórias supports scholarship programs offered in partnership with subnational governments, as well as student financing opportunities with more favorable terms than those typically available in the market. These financing options are provided through banking partners.

Through this flexible combination of financial support mechanisms, Instituto Trajetórias enables each student to build the funding solution that best fits their individual profile and needs.

For public servants, the support package often includes paid study leave, subject to the specific agreements established with partner governments.

Selection process

To apply for the scholarship, Brazilian students must first follow Lund University’s standard application procedures and meet all admission requirements established by the university.

Once scholarship and financing calls supported by Instituto Trajetórias and its partners are published, candidates must submit their applications according to the procedures and requirements outlined in those documents.

Applicants who secure admission to a master's program at Lund University and are subsequently selected by Instituto Trajetórias and its national partners will be eligible to receive scholarship funding or student financing support.

Financial resources are transferred directly to students, who must demonstrate that the funds are used in accordance with the rules and guidelines established in the relevant call for applications.
