PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS FOR ACCESSING THE WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA OF INSTITUTO TRAJETÓRIAS

I. ABOUT INSTITUTO TRAJETÓRIAS

  1. Instituto Trajetórias (the “Institute”) is a non-profit association whose mission is to expand access for Brazilian talents to leading international universities, supporting the development of diverse professionals and leaders committed to Brazil’s development.

  2. The webpage https://institutotrajetorias.org.br
    belongs to the Institute, a civil society organization headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, registered under CNPJ nº [CNPJ].

  3. The Institute’s social media platforms serve the same institutional purpose as its website, in language adapted to each platform – YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Other social networks and communication channels may also be used to fulfill its social purposes, in which case this Policy shall apply accordingly.

II. ACCEPTANCE OF THE POLICY AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR USE

  4. By accessing and using the Institute’s website and social media, you fully agree with the provisions of this Policy and commit to comply with Brazilian law and ethical standards. You are solely responsible for your use of the website and the materials made available on it.

  5. The Institute’s pages do not permit visits and/or registration by children and adolescents without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.

III. USE OF MATERIALS AND CONTENT MADE AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA

  6. You may copy and redistribute the material and content made available by the Institute on its website and social media without prior authorization, provided that (i) the source is cited, including the author of the text or photo when applicable, and (ii) the integrity of the material is maintained, without distorting the context in which it was produced. Reproduction for commercial purposes is prohibited.

  7. The Institute’s social media and virtual interaction spaces do not allow spam or comments of a commercial, discriminatory, offensive, or harmful nature, nor the dissemination of false information. Such publications will be deleted without prior notice, and their authors may be excluded from discussions and participation on those platforms.

  8. The following belong to the Institute: (i) all software, applications, or functionalities used in relation to the website; (ii) the website’s visual identity (including the graphic and visual design of any of its pages); (iii) the corporate name, brand, domain name, slogan, advertising expression, or any distinctive sign of its ownership included on the website; and (iv) all content created and produced by the Institute, whether by itself or by third parties, which may not be used by Visitors in any way other than as set forth in this Policy

IV. INFORMATION ON PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

  9. The Institute is committed to safeguarding your privacy, in compliance with the Brazilian Constitution, the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), and other applicable regulations.

  10. The Institute will only use your personal data to the extent that you voluntarily consent and provide it, for the following purposes:
    a. To respond to visitors contacting the Institute through its institutional email available on the website;
    b. To register on the Institute’s platform – Bússola Trajetórias – in order to access interactive content and tools supporting preparation for graduate program applications, as well as related information and the Institute’s social purposes, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the platform;
    c. To apply for scholarships in government programs and/or for credit programs – Talentos Globais Program.
 

  11. We use essential cookies for the proper functioning of the website and, with your express consent by clicking Accept, we also install cookies intended to improve your experience and collect usage statistics. If you click Decline, only strictly necessary cookies will remain active.

  12. The Institute is not responsible for cookies from external content accessible via its website. The presence of a link on our pages does not represent authorization, endorsement, or affiliation with the linked website. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of each external site visited.

V. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

  13. The Institute will never disclose your personal data to third parties who are not part of its staff or service providers, for any purpose, unless expressly authorized by you or required by public authorities.

  14. Personal data collected through the website may be stored on servers located outside Brazil, due to the infrastructure used by Wix, the hosting platform. In such cases, international data transfer will occur in accordance with the LGPD (Law nº 13.709/2018), ensuring appropriate protection measures are adopted

VI. RIGHTS OF VISITORS AND DATA SUBJECTS

  15. By using the Institute’s website and/or social media and providing your personal data, the Institute guarantees the rights set forth under applicable data protection legislation, including:

    a. Access to personal data: to be informed about the personal information processed by the Institute;
    b. Correction: to request corrections to personal data stored by the Institute;
    c. Request for anonymization, blocking, or deletion of excessive, unnecessary, or unlawfully processed data: in such cases, the Institute will conduct an assessment to verify the request;
    d. Withdrawal of consent: to revoke previously granted consent for certain functionalities, through opt-out;
    e. Review of automated decisions: to request a review of any decision made solely through automated processing that affects your interests.

  16. If necessary, you may exercise these rights through the contact channels provided at the end of this Policy.

VII. STORAGE AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

  17. Your data will be retained by the Institute only for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, including compliance with legal obligations, contractual duties, accountability, defense in administrative or judicial proceedings, or requests from competent authorities.

  18. All personal data collected will be deleted when requested by the Visitor or when they are no longer necessary or relevant for the purposes for which they were processed. However, the Institute may retain certain personal data, even after a deletion request, when required by law or to safeguard its rights. The retention period will depend on the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes of processing, and applicable legal requirements.

  19. Personal data will be stored in a secure operational environment that is not accessible to the public. The Institute strives to protect the personal data stored through measures including (i) a privacy and governance program; (ii) a Data Protection Officer (DPO) and dedicated privacy team; (iii) implementation of “Privacy by Design” and “Privacy by Default” principles; (iv) confidentiality policies with staff; and (v) access restrictions based on “need-to-know” and “least privilege” principles, among others. However, complete security cannot be guaranteed. Hardware or software failures and other factors may compromise the security of personal data at any time. Therefore, we ask for your cooperation in maintaining a secure environment.

  20. In addition to adopting best practices to protect your personal data, the Institute remains available to assist you if you identify or become aware of any issue compromising data security. In such cases, please contact us through the email provided at the end of this Policy.

VIII. FINAL PROVISIONS

  21. This Policy was published on August 22, 2025, and may be amended at any time. Updates will be disclosed in this same space.

  23. The Institute may modify the content of its pages at any time, without prior notice. If you have questions about the content made available, you may contact the Institute through its institutional channels.

  24. Tolerance regarding any breach of the provisions of this Policy by any Visitor shall not constitute a waiver of the right to demand compliance, nor forgiveness, nor modification of the terms herein.

  25. Any disputes arising from the application of this Policy shall preferably be resolved through consensual solutions. If not possible, jurisdiction is established at the Central Court of the District of São Paulo, Brazil
