Instituto Trajetórias and the Université de Montréal, in Canada, have signed a strategic partnership to expand access for Brazilian talents to master’s degree programs.
This is the first partner university in Canada. The Université de Montréal ranks 28th in the QS World University Rankings by Subject and 53rd in the QS Sustainability Ranking. In the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, it appears in 52nd place in the Computer Science 2026 ranking.
Eligible Programs
The agreement between Instituto Trajetórias and the Université de Montréal provides that students and public servants who are admitted through the master’s program selection processes may receive up to a 35% discount on tuition fees.
The discount will be valid for each trimester in which the student is enrolled full-time, for a maximum of:
Three to six trimesters in a professional master’s program
Three trimesters in a research-based master’s program
Students will be responsible for other applicable fees and for international health insurance.
Additional Benefits
In addition to the tuition discount, Instituto Trajetórias is negotiating the launch of scholarships to be offered in partnership with subnational governments, as well as student loans with more favorable conditions than those currently available on the market, to be granted through a banking partner.
Through this flexible combination of financial support, the Institute enables each student to build the financial solution best suited to their profile.
In the case of public servants, paid study leave will be available, in accordance with specific agreements signed with partner governments.
Application Process
To apply for a scholarship, Brazilian students must initially follow the Université de Montréal’s standard application procedures and meet all admission requirements, including proficiency in English and French.
Information about the Canadian university’s admission process is available at this link.
Once the calls for scholarships and financing facilitated by Instituto Trajetórias are published, candidates must submit their applications to the Institute, following the established procedures.
Applicants who secure admission to a master’s program at the Université de Montréal and are selected by Instituto Trajetórias and its national partners will be eligible for scholarships or financing.
The calls are expected to be published starting in February.
Funds are transferred directly to students, who must provide proof of use in accordance with the rules to be set out in the call for applications.
